Deakin Chapel - charming and intimate
If you are planning a Wedding or Christening in Geelong you may wish to have your ceremony in the beautiful and historic sandstone Chapel – only 100 meters walk from Deakin Lakehouse across the timber bridge.
The Chapel is a fine example of an historic Parish church, with it’s origins dating back to the early pioneers of Sutherlands Creek.
Deakin Chapel is non- denominational, and provides a tranquil and romantic setting for your service.
It provides seating for 60 guests, or you may wish to hold your service on the flagstone area outside, using Deakin Chapel as a magnificent backdrop for your wedding vows and of course for your photos.
You are welcome to have your service led by your own minister or celebrant, or we are happy to recommend a celebrant or pastor should you require one.
It is available for use by all members of the Geelong community, for a small hire fee. (see Deakin Chapel Hire Information)
